Paromita Dhar is a film director, cinematographer and screenwriter based in Goa. A 2021 Berlinale Talents Fellow, her cinematography work includes the award-winning documentary film project, Behind the Tin Sheets. Among her other works is Birha, which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival, IDFA and Yamagata in 2018. She also shot the film, That Cloud Never Left, which premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2019. Currently, she is developing her first feature-length fiction film, Last Time on Earth, which was selected for the NFDC Screenwriters Lab and awarded the Hubert Bals Script and Project Development Grant. Paromita graduated in Film and Video from the University of Technology, Sydney, and holds a Masters’ Diploma in Film from the Sydney Film School.
