Mark Szilagyi is a Hungarian-German producer. After graduating in Media Economics at the University of Siegen, he broadened his knowledge by studying at UCLA, USA and graduating in Serial Production at prestigious Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Germany. After graduation, he moved to Rwanda to work as a producer at Kwetu Film Institute and as Developement Advisor for Culture and Creative Industries at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) for three years. He has produced fiction and non-fiction for BBC, CNN, PBS, ZDF and SWR in East Africa. In 2017, he founded MSZ Production and Consulting, a film production and creative industries consulting firm, based in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Currently, he is working at the International Office of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and produces documentaries, webseries and virtual reality films. Furthermore, he is designing and implementing educational programs with focus on serial storytelling, international co-productions and pitching in Morocco, Nigeria and Hungary.
